Bathtime in HerWORK
An exhibit shot of my work Bathtime in HerWORK at the Multicultural Centre Public Art Gallery. This exhibit was inspired by the doll installation I created during my BFA days, it was an incredible pleasure to put together this exhibit featuring 5 other female artists working with the theme of feminine identity and women work in celebration of International Women's Day.

Detail: Bloom 2012
This is a beautiful example of my acrylic skins.
Beast Sculpture 2012
This piece was a part of a larger installation I completed for my Drawing Intermedia class at the University of Alberta. These creatures were made to represent immobile rock forms with alternate organic living interiors.
A Soul Inside 2012
Deep inside the cave of the creature is its sharp metallic soul.
Vein of Desire 2011
This piece was fundamental to my transitioning to painting at a macro scale. It was the first piece of its kind and lead the way to many more during my 4th year at the University of Alberta.
This piece was a real pleasure to work with. I transformed this dark brown corduroy and suit cloth into an under ground landscape.
Into the Forest 2012
I created this piece using a weaving loom, twine, twigs and acrylic forms.
Nest of a Lady 2012
This is a sculptural painting using wire forms I then mounted a semi transparent pink fabric using acrylic gel and iridescent powder to transform the fabric into a skin like texture.
Installation Orbs 2011/12
glass orbs painted with layered patterns in white and bronze
Andrea Figure Study 2011/12
Figure Study #3 2011
A figure study from my BFA days
Figure Study #2 2011/12
This was an amazing drawing that I don't have nearly enough records for. This figure study was drawn onto music lines and then I had a vocalist perform the notes created by my drawing lines intersecting with the music lines creating notes.
Figure Study #5 2011
This figure study was completed using dirty automotive oil. It was incredibly difficult to use, the oil never actually set or dried so the drawing only existed like this for about an hour before dripping off the paper. Working with the oil involved hours of drawing using a ventilation mask.
Still Life Collage
This is a collage I made of stacked books during my time at the University of Alberta completing my BFA.
